Ms. Almquist joined Meany & Oliver Companies in 2016. The firm provides brokerage, consulting and investment services in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Ms. Almquist represents tenant clients from a variety of disciplines including SK&A (engineering), Council on Foundations (association/non-profit), Enterprise Knowledge (technology), Heart & Mind Strategies (consulting), and WETA (non-profit).

Ms. Almquist joined Avison Young as a principal in April, 2011. Ms. Almquist represented tenant clients throughout the Greater Washington, DC area in various disciplines including, Doorways for Women (non-profit), Phoenix House (non-profit), Leadership Arlington (non-profit), Macneil/Lehrer Productions (non-profit), Kaman Aerospace (government contractor), and Child Trends (research).

Ms. Almquist oversaw the leasing of the Northern Virginia portfolio of Beacon Capital Partners totaling approximately 3 million square feet. In addition, Ms. Almquist represented various other landlord and tenant clients including CSCI, National School Boards Association, Carr Properties, Philips Realty, and George Mason University Foundation.

Equity Office Properties

Ms. Almquist oversaw the Northern Virginia portfolio of properties, totaling approximately 4 million square feet. She oversaw a team of in-house leasing professionals, as well as being the liaison with third party brokers on select properties. Responsibilities included general leasing, preparation of annual budgets for the various properties, and working closely with property management to make capital improvement decisions on the various owned properties.

Grubb & Ellis of Washington, DC

Ms. Almquist started her career at Grubb & Ellis as a leasing broker in Northern Virginia, In the final years of her eighteen-year career there, she oversaw the Northern Virginia office for Grubb & Ellis, while also maintaining her landlord and tenant clients. As a member of Grubb & Ellis’ Circle of Excellence, Ms. Almquist was designated as one of the top 100 brokers at Grubb & Ellis.
